Meet Candace and Andrew:

The happy couple met in 2003 at Fairleigh Dickinson University through a mutual friend. Through the simple act of bringing Andrew the best milkshake he ever had, their love story began, and the rest was history.

On Christmas Eve 2012, Drew, with the help of their son Aiden, presented Candace with an empty jewelry box. Candace automatically assumed it was a pair of earrings that she has been asking for, but upon opening the box, she found it was empty. She then looked up to find Andrew on bent knee asking for her to be his wife.

This engagement shoot for Candace and Andrew was a collaboration between myself, Digna Toledo Photography, and Emma Pierre-Louis of Prestige Affairs Event Production, who is also the couple’s Wedding Coordinator. We worked together to create the concept of the session, in which we wanted to incorporate the couple’s vibrant personalities and the things that were most important to them.

We traveled to different locations in New Jersey that we felt best represented the couple’s love, capturing the sweet, classic and adventurous aspects of their love and their relationship. You’ll notice in the photos, the milkshake, which represents the beginning of their relationship as well as the sweet side of their love. You’ll notice the Coca-Cola Classic bottles, representing their classic love. Finally, the motorcycle, representing not only Andrew’s love for motorcycles, but the adventurous side of the couple’s love.

 It was a pleasure to work with Emma to capture Candace and Andrew’s fun-spirited and sincere love for one another. I cannot wait to capture what will surely be a wonderful wedding. Make sure to come back in next month and check out the photos!
